Corbridge Roman Town
Corbridge (“Coria”) was once a busy town full of activity right up until the 5th century, where both Romans and Civilians would be able to pick up food and supplies. Visitors can walk the historic town’s streets while also listening to audio guides to provide an insight into the wealth of history of the former Roman town. The onsite museum displays a range of artefacts such as Roman armour and trinkets that were uncovered with the Corbridge Hoard. The Hoard, which is one of the most significant finds in Roman history, provides a fantastic insight into the life of a soldier on the wall. Also on display in the museum is the Corbridge Collection the largest of the Hadrians Wall artefact collections.
