Warkworth Old Post Office

The Old Post Office is a grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century, which previously operated as a post office, but now offers high quality, affordable accommodation and evenings meals to both residents and non-residents at the weekend. Continually being ranked in the top 10 eateries in Northumberland, the meals provided use local produce and are cooked with care and attention, with local fish, meat and vegetarian options and those with food intolerance being well catered for. Booking well in advance is essential.

The bed and breakfast rooms are beautifully furnished with a coastal theme and serve a variety of loose leaf locally blended teas (including the famous Earl Grey first served in Northumberland), fresh coffee, home-made biscuits and many more little touches that make your stay so special.

The Old Post Office has a passion for good food and guests can enjoy breakfasts using high quality local produce; Northumbrian griddle cakes with hot, buttery diced apple and creamed goat’s cheese are popular with vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike; you can also add some crispy pancetta!
