Easter Adventure Quest, 14th – 17th April 2017
Be a challenge champion this Easter weekend! You’ll be greeted by a character from the past – perhaps a king, a butler or a Roman centurion – who’ll be able to help you crack the clues as you explore Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens in Northumberland. Birdoswald Roman Fort
Easter Kite Festival, 15th – 17th April 2017
Get to grips with the art of kite flying at Birdoswald Roman Fort on Hadrianan’s Wall. Expert kite flyers will dazzle you with their skills as they create a spectacle in the grounds of this ancient Roman Fort.
See gigantic kites in flight, watch synchronised demonstrations to music, have a go at making your very own kite and try it out in the family flying area where we will also give you some top tips on making it soar. If you have a kite at home make sure you bring it along on the day too for an unforgettable day out!

Easter Treasure Hunt, 14th – 17th April 2017
Drop into the centre to collect the first clue which will lead you on a trail around the site, exploring the woodland and its inhabitants on your way. Collect answers to questions along the trail and a prize at the end.
Suitable for 4-10 year olds. All children must be accompanied.

There will be a fun, Easter trail available in the grounds running from the 1st of April – 23rd of April!
Bring all the family, pick up a trail and map sheet from the shop and enjoy a lovely walk around our beautiful grounds while hunting for clues.
Head back to the shop to claim your prize.
There will also be a Golden Egg Sundays where three golden eggs will be hidden somewhere along the trail.

Whitehouse Farm
Easter Eggstravaganza & Lambing Season, 8th – 23rd April 2017
Easter is always an egg-citing time of year at Whitehouse Farm!
Lambing has started, so there are lots of little lambs to cuddle, pet lambs which you can bottle feed and if you are lucky, you may see a lamb being born!
There have been lots of new arrivals at Whitehouse Farm this Spring including pygmy goat kids, cute chicks and calves!
