  • Evening Ice Skating
    • 12th – 16th December 2016
      • The most picturesque spot in the North East for skating, The Alnwick Garden will come alive this Christmas with fun and laughter with our own skating rink. Evening skating tickets do not include entry to The Alnwick Garden. They allow a half an hour skate on our rink at a selected time.   • Christmas Tail
    • 12th – 16th December 2016 11:00 – 15:00

  • Christmas Market
    • 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd December 2016 10:30 – 17:00

  • Grand Lantern Parade
    • 18th December 17:15 – 18:30
      • Led by ‘Spark’, The Alnwick Garden Christmas Grand Lantern Parade is a magical live music, light and movement spectacular. Cragside House & Gardens

      • Follow the family-friendly Christmas trail, see the sparkling Christmas trees light up the Visitor Centre, cosy up by the fire pit and toast marshmallows, treat those on the nice list (or treat yourself) with a spot of Christmas shopping, enjoy mulled wine and mince pies from the Tea Rooms, and get into the festive spirit! Heatherslaw Light Railway

  • Santa Specials
    • 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th December 11am, 12:30pm and 2pm
      • Passengers are invited to travel from Heatherslaw to Etal Station and back on our Christmas decorated train! The train will be hauled by one of our steam locomotives, “Bunty” or “Lady Augusta”. On returning to Heatherslaw Station, passengers will be shown up to the model railway room where they can enjoy refreshments. The model railway will be running to entertain the children while they are waiting to visit Santa. Families will be invited into the decorated grotto to see Santa who will provide each child with a quality Christmas gift. Paxton House

  • Christmas Pop Up Restaurant

      • Another Pop-up dinner filled with good homemade food and a relaxing ambience. Each menu consists of steak, fish, vegetarian option and gluten free puddings, so there is something for everyone.     • 19th November – 24th December 2016HO HO HO!! It’s a magical time of year at Whitehouse Farm as Santa is here along with the Christmas Fairy & all the little Farm Elves!• All children who visit Santa in the Christmas Grotto receive a festive bag of Magic Hay & sweets (A present from Santa is an optional extra)
      • Write a letter to Santa and post it in the North Pole Postbox then receive your own reply from Mrs Claus in her Toy Shop before you leave
