Kirkley Hall Zoo

Opened in 2001 Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens in Ponteland is home to over 200 species of animals such as Lemurs, Coatis, Wallabies, Emu, Meerkats, Snakes and more!. Visitors to the zoo can browse the animals as well as burning off energy in the parks play areas such as their high ropes course complete with a 120-metre zip wire. Should visitors wish to get up close and personal with animals Zoo Keeper Experiences, Volunteering Opportunities and Student Placements are on offer to participate in.
