Gunsgreen House

Gunsgreen House

Built in the 1750s by local smuggler and merchant John Nisbet, Gunsgreen House is a house full of history and secrets. Visitors can learn about the historic smuggling trade of Eyemouth as they browse the many period rooms of the house and uncover the secrets built in such as the tea chute.

Gunsgreen House is very child friendly location with activities for kids including dressing up, taking part in the “Rat Trail” (Where they have to find hidden rats throughout the house) and even smuggling where they take their own bags of tea though tunnels up to the drop off point upstairs.

Should you need somewhere to stay Gunsgreen House features its very own stunning apartments for up to 11 guests. Just next door Gunsgreen House’s Nesbit Tower provides cosy accommodation for two guests.
